Liposuction Philippines
Liposuction Philippines
Despite good health and a reasonable level of fitness, some people may still have body profile with disproportionate contours that is due to localized fat deposits. These patients are not happy or pleased with their body contour and may have body disproportionality. Our body fat deposits are affected by multiple factors; this can be due to changes in hormone level that slows down the body metabolism, stress and psychological behavior that may increase our oral intake of nutrients beyond our need and genetic characteristics of an individual that may predispose them to overweight or obesity.
Suction Assisted Lipectomy or commonly known as Liposuction is a procedure that slims, reshapes, contours and restore body proportion thus, enhancing self-image of the patient. Liposuction is a surgical aspiration of fat under the skin leaving a more pleasing contour and smooth transition between regions of the body. Liposuction is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures worldwide by certified cosmetic plastic surgeons.
There are several kinds or techniques to perform a liposuction procedure. The three most commonly performed techniques are the tumescent or superwet liposuction, Ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty and Laser or SMART Liposuction. The tumescent or super-wet technique requires an infusion of saline solution mixed with adrenaline to facilitate the aspiration or removal of excess fat. Ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty uses ultrasonic energy that liquefies the fat prior to surgical suctioning. While Laser or SMART liposuction is quite similar with ultrasound assisted technique in which fats is initially dissolve and then aspirated. There was a sudden increase in demand for SMART/Laser liposuction and Ultrasound lipoplasty when this was introduced in the market because it was believed to have more superior results than the traditional method. However, in our experience, the advantage that Laser Liposuction offers patients are improved pain control after surgery and body swelling is significantly less compared to the traditional tumescent technique. With regards to the result, all the 3 techniques are just the same. There is no superiority of one method over the other in attaining a pleasing body contour.
Liposuction is more of an art than just a surgical procedure. This procedure demands a good grasp of anatomy and body proportionality. This is why liposuction is better termed as liposculpturing. The body parts or areas of the body that can be treated by liposuction are the abdomen, flanks or love handle, hips and buttocks, upper and lower back, arms, axilla or armpit (for treatment of hyperhydrosis), thighs and knees, chin and chest area (specially for gynecomastia). The procedure is done by aspirating the subcutaneous fats with the use of a metal pen like liposuction cannulas through a small skin incision. This small incision is placed at the natural folds of the body so that the resulting scar will be concealed or inconspicuous.
This is performed as an outpatient procedure in a fully equipped ambulatory surgical facility. But patients with multiple procedure or prefer to relax immediately after the surgery, will be admitted for a day or two. Wether the procedure will be performed as an Out-Patient or as a hospital procedure, preoperative laboratory and medical clearance (For patient 40 y/o and above, Medical condition that required treatment) is required. This is done a day before the surgery. The procedure can be performed either under local anesthesia or deep sedation depending on the extent of the procedure. After the procedure, incision site will soak for 2 to 3 days and eventually dries on the 4th to 5th day. All patients are instructed to strictly apply or wear pressure garments for 2 to 3 weeks at all body parts addressed by liposuction. The pressure garment will help the skin redrape to underlying muscles thus obliterating the space left after aspirating the fat and also control the swelling. This will assist and enhance the healing process. Sutures are removed on the 7th or 9th day after surgery.
Patients are always advised that there will be swelling and some bruising after the surgery. This is temporary and may resolve after 1 to 2 weeks. The initial result may be noted after 2 to 4 weeks since much of the swelling had subsided. However, the final result will be appreciated by the 2nd to 6th month after surgery.
Patients planning to have this procedure will be required to allot 8 to 14 days for the initial consultation, laboratory, medical clearance, surgery, follow up, suture removal and early recuperation. After this, the patient is safe to travel since all wounds are already dry and healed.

Dental Implants in London and Cosmetic Surgery London
At the London Day Cosmetic Surgery Centre we can offer consultations for a wide range of wide range of improving treatments which can have a profound affect by changing the way a person looks and perceives themselves. Discreet facial aesthetic surgery, body contouring, liposculpture, Breast Cosmetic Surgery, facial aesthetic surgery and anti-ageing procedures can be conducted, as can reconstructive procedures made necessary by cancer, congenital deformities, trauma and injury.
Blepharoplasty/Eyelid Reduction
Ageing of the upper and lower eyelids is normally due to a combination of loose skin and protrusion of fat. This is a common problem and although most patients seeking such surgery are 40 or older, puffy eyes may be a familial trait and patients will seek help at a much younger age. In the upper eyelids ageing causes stretching of the eyelid skin producing a “hooded” appearance. These changes can give the appearance of tiredness and many patients request Cosmetic Surgery for this reason.
Abdominoplasty/Tummy Tuck
The skin and muscles of the anterior abdominal wall are stretched during pregnancy or excessive weight gain. In some people this leaves loose skin and fat which can cause difficulty with clothing and performing sporting activities. Exercise and diet can help to reverse these changes but in some people surgery may be needed to tighten the muscles and remove the excess skin.
The operation is performed through a horizontal incision which is placed very low within the bikini area.
Some ladies may already have the scar of a caesarean section in this area which can be improved and incorporated in the abdominoplasty scar. By strengthening the central muscles of the abdomen it is possible to improve the waist line. This procedure is not a cure for stretch marks although most of the stretch marks below the umbilicus will be removed with the excess skin. This procedure is often done in conjunction with liposuction to remove some excess fat. It should be stressed that this is not an operation which aims to remove fat, but rather one for loose skin. The precise detail of the proposed surgery does vary between individuals and will be carefully discussed with you at your consultation.
The Tooth and its Surrounding Tissues
Teeth are not solid objects; they have a space at their centre containing blood vessels and nerves called the dental pulp. This pulp tissue nourishes the tooth.
What are Dental Implants?
Dental Implants are small, tissue-compatible titanium fixtures, which are inserted into the jawbone. After a period of natural bonding, the implants serve as the ‘root’ anchor for new superstructure crowns bridges or dentures.
Aetiology
The major cause of gingivitis is the accumulation of bacteria at the gum line in the form of a sticky, yellowish film which is called dental plaque. If left undisturbed, bacterial plaque calcifies to form dental calculus (tartar).
The London Day Surgery Centre has a fully equipped operating theatre suite and relaxing recuperative facilities. We also have state of the art dental surgeries for carrying out a variety of oral procedures. The centre has approval from all the major health insurance companies including BUPA and AXA PPP Healthcare.

Sun, Sea, Sand and a Hip Replacement – Medical Treatment Abroad
Medical Tourism is a fascinating new trend that sees people leaving the UK to receive medical treatment overseas. Luxury service and period of recuperation in the sun are two of the factors that are encouraging an increasing number of Brits to have their elective surgery abroad. In 2006 50,000 Britons travelled abroad for low cost medical treatment. For people looking to have private surgery, travelling abroad can save a considerable amount of money. Consumers can save up to 80% by going abroad for surgery and these savings are often enough to finance a relaxing break. So what types of overseas medical treatment are available and how much does medical treatment abroad cost?
Treatment available
One company offers a service that provides treatment in a private hospital in Malta. The treatments available cover a wide variety of clinical and cosmetic surgery packages. Clinical packages include procedures in General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Urology, Gynaecology and Ophthalmology. The company offers total hip replacements, total knee replacements, TURP prostate surgery, Total Abdominal Hysterectomy surgery, Hernia operations, Varicose Vein removals as well as Cataract removal and lens implant surgery.
The cosmetic services on offer include nose reshaping, a tummy tuck, liposculpture, prominent ear correction, breast augmentation, face lifts, Botox treatment, endermologie, lip augmentation, dermal fillers and laser hair removal.
Private Dental treatment abroad has also become more popular. This is reputedly due to the rising costs of dentistry in the UK. Customers are heading to Europe for savings on crowns, bridges, dental implants and cosmetic dentistry.
Cost of treatment
The cost of treatment includes all clinical costs, including the cost of hospital and Doctors fees, as well as all the necessary drugs, x-rays and implants. It includes transfers from the airport and hotel accommodation before and after treatment. The cost also includes post-operative care including food and rehabilitation care. It also includes 7 days drugs supply on discharge from hospital care. A total hip replacement will cost around GBP6300 as does a total knee replacement. TURP prostate surgery will cost around GBP2700 with total abdominal Hysterectomy surgery costing GBP3525. Hernia operations cost GBP1900 for unilateral or GBP2670 for bilateral. Varicose Vein removals are either GBP1570 or GBP2620 depending on whether they are unilateral or bilateral.
Cosmetic treatments range between GBP4102 for a facelift, neck lift and 4 eyelids to GBP2489 for Breast Augmentation 9which includes the implants). Abdominoplasty and Liposculture will cost around GBP2876 and includes advice on diet and fitness.
Dental work is offered in a number of countries and there are websites that will help you compare prices to the British equivalent. Wisdom tooth extraction will cost you around GBP425 in the UK but a trip to have it done in Croatia can cost as little as GBP206. Having dental implants in Italy can save 50%. The typical price from a UK private dentist is GBP2000 whilst the same procedure done in Italy (including fees, travel and accommodation expenses) will cost around GBP931. A trip to Hungary for porcelain bonded crowns will cost you GBP570, 24% less than the GBP750 you expect to pay in the UK.
